Mockups are amazing because they allow you to show off YOUR stuff, in a beautifully curated image. Photoshop is obviously the standard way to add your photo, but if you don’t have advanced photo editing needs, you might not need to spend the money on this program.
Canva is my go to for this because it’s just so much easier, so today I’m going to walk you through how to add your image to a mockup with Canva:
If you can’t or don’t want to watch the video, see the step-by-step image instructions below.
Like this Pin image? I made it with elements from the Girl Boss Stock scene creators – just for members.
1. PICK AN IMAGE SIZE.
You can select a premade template or use your custom dimensions.
2. UPLOAD YOUR IMAGES
Upload your mockup + the image you want to put inside into Canva. Drag your main image to the canvas and position however you want.
3. SELECT A GRID + PLACE IT OVER YOUR SCREEN
Go to Grids and select whichever makes the most sense for your screen – it will most likely just be the first, single grid. Drag it over your mockup and rotate/scale it until it is laying over the top seemlessly.
4. DRAG YOUR SCREEN INTO THE GRID
Drag your uploaded screen over the grid to place it inside.
4. TWEAK UNTIL IT’S LAYERED OVER PERFECTLY
I recommend zooming in to 100% of the image size to make sure everything is lined up correctly!
AND THAT’S IT!
That’s how you simply and quickly add your image to a mockup – no photoshop required! Leave a comment below if you have any more photo editing questions.
